Hello, I’m Elizabeth Weidner, but everyone calls me Betsy! I’m an aspiring screenwriter based in California. I graduated from UCLA’s professional program in screenwriting in the spring of 2017 and have been submitting to contests and looking for work ever since — such is the life of a screenwriter.
I’m mainly using this blog as a way to write more about screenwriting (and avoid writing my screenplays), and the film industry, as well as throwing in a little bit of lifestyle stuff (because what else is a blog for?). I currently offer script-reading services with an emphasis on punching up dialogue (I’m just really good at that, it’s weird), and would love to take a look at your story if that interests you!
I was nominated for the Nate Wilson Joie de Vivre Award at UCLA in 2017, and my spec script ‘Just Gone’ was an Austin Film Festival Second Rounder.
